NM-6 Rinconada Canyon Trail Petroglyph

Petroglyph National Monument offers several hiking trails to allow for viewing of natural features and a variety of petroglyphs. These trails range in difficulty from easy to moderate. There are several trails that take you as close as possible to the volcanoes, but please do not hike off of the designated trails. Native Peoples believe that hiking to the top of the volcanic cones desecrates this sacred landscape. Please respect local cultural beliefs and also help protect these unique volcanoes by not hiking to their tops.
